Benrus is an iconic Swiss watch Brand that has its heritage in the USA.  The Lazarus Brothers imported Swiss movements into the USA to produce Benrus Watches.
 
JFK was gifted a Benrus by his party in the 1960’s and the Actor Steve McQueen wore an Benrus on the set of the hit film “Bullit” 
 
This Benrus day date with pointer is from the late 1950’s early 1960’s.  It’s got a military feel as Benrus was also a supplier to the US Military during the Vietnam War.
 
It’s recently serviced and runs very well.  A great watch to add to a collection or to gift to someone.
