The large silver dial makes has made a comeback in modern A. Lange & Söhne jumping hour watches.

The sweeping red second hand turns the day, hour and minute discs that then show the time in the apertures that run centrally down the dial.    The plexiglass has a dome shape that shows the outer part of the dial with its minute batons that the second had sweeps over.
